I’m excited to be able to share this new project. Following the success of the Climate Disinfo Nightschool that ran earlier this year, myself and Mandy Henk (a librarian and author of Ecology, Economy, Equity: The Path to a Carbon-Neutral Library) and I are launching Dark Times Academy, a community education provider with a critical edge.

We launch officially at the end of the month with a free event online from Chris Shaw, author of Liberalism and the Challenge of Climate Change. You can register here.

Community education has been a big part of both my professional life and my activism over the past decades, with events like the ‘Open Air University’ at Occupy Christchurch. So working with one of the Occupy Wall Street librarians is exciting.
